This policy covers the UnBurn app and website at unburn.au.
UnBurn aims to collect as little information as possible. No account is needed to start.
Your daily check-in ratings describe how you feel, such as exhaustion, fatigue and sleep. We treat them as health information and use them only to show your history and support suggestions.

Your daily check-in ratings (six ratings from 1 to 5) and the date of each check-in.
An anonymous identifier for your device, created by Amazon Cognito, so check-ins can be saved without an account.
If you create an account: your email address. Sign-in uses a secure protocol (SRP), so your password is never sent to or stored by UnBurn.
Consent records: the policy versions you accepted and when.
Emails you send to support@unburn.au.
UnBurn has no advertising, analytics or tracking, and never sells or shares your data for advertising.

UnBurn runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1), so your information is stored outside Australia.
Amazon Cognito handles accounts and identifiers, Amazon DynamoDB stores check-ins and consent records, and Amazon SES sends account emails and receives support email.
Support emails are forwarded to the inbox UnBurn uses to answer them, hosted by Namecheap Private Email.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We may also contact you about important changes to the service.

With an account, you can delete it in the app at any time (Account, then Delete Account). This permanently removes your account, your check-ins and your consent records from the live database straight away. Account holders can also email support@unburn.au for access or correction requests.
Encrypted backups are kept for up to 35 days for disaster recovery, after which deleted data is gone from them too.
Without an account, check-ins are linked only to an anonymous device identifier that UnBurn can't connect to you, so they can't be found or deleted on request. To be able to delete them, create an account and then delete it in the app: this also removes the anonymous check-ins from that device.
Raw support emails are kept for 30 days, then only in the support inbox for as long as needed to answer you.
Check-ins are otherwise kept until you delete them; there is no fixed deletion period for inactive data.

Reasonable safeguards protect your information, including encrypted connections and access limited to your own records.
The service is not directed at children under 13.
For privacy requests, email support@unburn.au with "Privacy request" in the subject and enough detail for us to find the relevant account or record.
